Pros

Standard pros of any other defense contractor, nothing special. 4/10 schedule.

Cons

Senior Leadership does not listen to their employees at all. They make decisions and shove it down our throats without any insight. It was leaked that they are fully removing hybrid work because they believe working from home is why programs are late and over budget. This is not the case whatsoever and any amount of pleading and reason won't reach their thick skulls. This move will lead any of our senior members to quit, and I can't wait to see programs go into ruin due to the limited amount of experience of the people who stay.

Pros

Unfortunately the best I can say is that at least it better than throbread avation.

Cons

Health insurance is garbage. 14,040 yearly With a 5,000 deductible. It also is owned by Lockheed so isn’t acceptable anywhere. Wage theft is rampant, with money going missing from your check or not being paid for hours worked on a regular basis. Upward mobility is impossible. What you get hire in at is what your going to do your entire career unless you leave, get the experience elsewhere and come back. Pay is garbage, typically half of industry standard. Also there is no pay pogression so a a day one guy makes the same as someone who’s been there for 30 years. Management is currently retaliating against the employees for starting a union due to the poor working conditions. OSHA violations everywhere you look.

Pros

Competitive Compensation: The pay and benefits at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics are excellent, making it a financially rewarding place to work. Reputable Company: As a well-known aerospace company, Lockheed Martin offers a strong brand and career stability, which can be appealing for job seekers looking to work in the defense and aerospace industry.

Cons

Toxic Middle Management: One of the biggest challenges at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is the lack of support from middle management. There is a noticeable amount of favoritism, and success often depends on aligning with the right people rather than on performance or skills. This leads to a toxic, politically driven environment. Misleading Probationary Period: While the company states that new hires are on a 90-day probationary period, it is actually 120 days. This lack of transparency can cause confusion and unnecessary stress for employees. Uncomfortable Working Conditions: Despite the high temperatures in the warehouse (often exceeding 105°F), the company does not provide air conditioning in most areas, offering only fans for ventilation. The assembly line is the only area with air conditioning, which creates a disparity in working conditions for employees in other areas of the facility. Poor Communication and Blame-Shifting: There is a significant lack of communication among middle management and across teams, leading to confusion and inefficiencies. Employees often find themselves caught in the middle of blame-shifting and a lack of coordination, which can be frustrating and demoralizing.
