Good benefits, work/life balance, lots free time at work

Cons

Lots of high level 60-80 year old people sitting around doing nothing while collecting a $$$ check. You'll see people on eBay, solitaire world, or Youtube. I've received a message on youtube stating "Too much traffic from your IP address, please verify some security info" hilarious!

Pros

Nice people who are very understanding of the work life balance. Great benefits and, for the most part, great job stability.

Cons

There were extremely incompetent people working at senior levels only because they had been in the job so long, and management wasn't competent enough to know that their employees we're worthless. Getting anything done required politics and arguing against people who were technically incapable of having an opinion.

Great schedule at some sites, 3 wks vacation plus the week of Christmas is considered paid holiday time, benefits & discounts are great. They pay great for your first 2-3 years, so get the $$$ while you can. Tuition reimbursement is good if you take advantage of it.

Cons

Management absolutely sucks! Its a well-known secret that in order to get promoted you have to leave the company & then come back, cause they won't promote you otherwise. You spend a lot of time doing things that make absolutely no sense, because the company has no incentive to do things correctly the first time or to innovate. They talk a good game, but its all smoke&mirrors, don't be fooled.
