Pros

Great hours, 3 day weekends, comfort of working from home, honor of working for defense industry. Colleagues are intelligent and for the most part professional. Also lots of diversity, I have equal amount of male and female colleagues and various ethnicities.

Cons

Very poor communication in training, the first few months on the job feel like you’re thrown into a cornfield maze in the dark and you somehow have to find your way out. Good news is most people have had the same experience so people are patient.

Pros

Competitive comp ratio 85% (net income is greater). Annual bonus between 1%-5% of base salary based on performance. Great PTO accumulation for time off. Depending on role and location and company branch or subsidiary, usually Fridays or every other Friday off (alternate flex schedules). Always busy. Great networking opportunities with customers and defense partners and allies.

Cons

Because comp ratio is higher on net income, there are trade offs. Employer sponsored health benefits are not great and come with a hefty cost. All high deductible plans only available meaning you'll continue to spend full out of pocket costs year round for medical needs likely without even meeting your deductible before insurance can even provide benefits. Work/life balance is not that great. Depending on your role and amount of customer needs, job can be very demanding. Fast-paced jobs for the most part, not a bad thing but can take a toll. Not nearly enough staff on your teams to spread the workload so there's never a break sometimes causing reliance burdens.
