Horrible Management

Pros

I believe there is little to be said, but if need it would be the location and the ground working level people trying to stay afloat

Cons

Top heavy management with heavy politics after TYCO merger, the management never understood the ground working level and keep changing structure within the top level which cause a ripple effect to the working level below, Constant layoff and very low morale. Use to be a good company, sorry It has gone down the drain

CEO has trust issues

Pros

I very much enjoyed my many years at JCI until Alex Molinaroli took over as CEO. The company was growing, the work was interesting and rewarding and there was a real sense of team and sometimes even family and then it changed - dramatically.

Cons

When Alex took over the whole tone changed to an adversarial management style where mistakes were not an option and people were fired to "fix thing". The negative management style changes were compounded by leadership trust issues given the very poor ethical decision making by Alex in his personal life and the lack of any action by the board.

Pros

Benefits are decent, good products - chillers, batteries etc.

Cons

Mark my words in spite of SOX, Dodd Frank etc. this company is going to crash and burn. They are extremely unethical, the marriage to Tyco is like Bernie Madoff marrying Bernie Ebbers. Do a google search on the CEO for color. They notoriously acquire companies to enter markets and then don't integrate those companies into the mother ship but rather bleed them dry. I literally witnessed criminal activity (which I've reported) in MWK, I saw them take $25M in top line credit for shuffling paperwork in the wholesale energy market. And now they purchase Tyco with their checkered background to avoid paying corporate taxes. Hundreds if not thousands of quality employees have run from this place the last few years. For those who haven't yet I strongly urge you to get out.
