Pros

The US and French based offices a re filled with intelligent, well educated people. The US teams are a cohesive group of people as are the French teams.

Cons

The different countries need to be more cohesive. Each country's teams are very protective of their wok and don't share easily. There is too much animosity between the teams which results in low productivity and high turn over.

Some of the people are great and there are some decent opportunities to develop

Cons

There are a lot of big egos in Ipsen who think they know it all because they read a couple of management books. Because of this hollow and false business environment, the staff have no motivation to deliver the company vision. It's a real shame, because there are some really good people at Ipsen, and in the wider organisation, but the UK is simply poisoned. I am completely appalled at the brutal, uncaring, 'face doesn't fit-lets fire them' attitude that they have there, and it seems there are factions developing between those whose face does fit and those they try and push out but can't because they haven't done anything wrong. That is not the right way to motivate and inspire staff. The high degree of nepotism means only a chosen few will progress.

Company's long term strategy is unsure and the drug pipeline is empty hence it is difficult to predict the future of IPSEN after 2020
