Pros
From a learning point of view you can have access to outstanding learning content on any topic you may look for : "Your Learning" is like an internal "Wikipedia" and you can choose the knowledge and skills you want to learn and improve. It can be delivered on-line, face to face, in virtual classes or practices and role play. Actually IBM encourages you to invest at least 40 hours in learning as a minimum every year and even more if you want. From a personal development point of view you feel then empowered to take initiatives, calculated risks and to define yourself with IBM's support your career path ! In 20 years of service I have got 4 different jobs (consultant, seller, buyer, trainer) and worked in many locations around the world. Very few companies can offer this to a professional ! Inclusion culture is lived at heart : IBM is one of the best place to work globally with an incredible team representing all human diversity of cultures, personal beliefs and choices. Most importantly IBMers share core values about respect, team work and fair relationship.
Cons
As IBM transforms itself to become more agile and client's centric, most of the "cons" are currently being removed. Of course there is still room for improvement about giving everybody a clear view about the way forward and how to individually contribute to IBM's transformation.
