Business Outlook
Pros
Many IBMers now work at home, saving time and money on commuting; senior professional staff are given wide latitude in setting work content and methods; it is possible to produce very high-quality innovative professional work; be part of major global corporation that is growing and is very well managed
Cons
IBM is so large it is sometimes hard to navigate; despite valuing innovation, entrenched business processes are sometimes resistant to improvement; IBM is a sales-culture so you have to get comfortable being in sales mode; a strong cost-cutting mentality leads to frequent staff reductions
