Pros

No Pros. Don't know about other project in Hcl.

Cons

1. RM literally threatens to terminate even after working for 2 month 18 hours a day without week off. 2. Managers ask TL's threaten employees who joined through education program. They ask those guys to attend college in the day time and work for company in night shifts. 3. No appreciation / Not even single penny in terms of gifts or bonus. 4. They will confuse us with variable salary break up and payslips 5. Time sheet is a big mess. Every activity is accountable and need to mention what has been done for 9 hours daily. 6. You cannot enter more than 9 hours eventhough you work for 18 hours a day. 7. Work of 20 people need to be done by 5 people with in sla 8. If you go and complain for resource or any issues management will target you and they won't give release from the project also. 9. In prohibition period also notice period is 3 months. So in only 2 months around 60+ people absconded from HCL And lot more list will never end.

Pros

This was a salary position, some others doing the same job are paid hourly so my experience with benefits may differ, but the benefits are great! They have every traditional benefit offered to a normal salaried employee. Managers were also very willing to allow staff to do additional trainings. They were also very accommodating and allowed me to work from home after I had a health issue and needed almost about a month long recovery period.

Cons

Company is so large, that most additional training or certifications are done within the company so you won't be able to take the certification with you when you leave. For instance, they have an internal ITIL 4 certification which I signed up for but it's not the regular ITIL certifications you'd get out in town or via a normal classroom. It's an internal HCL ITIL certification based off their own internal exam that you can pass. Also, raises and promotions take forever to get approved. They say they put in for raises and promotions, and allow you to take on the additional responsibilities while you wait, but the actual money and paperwork take a VERY long time to be approved. There are also a lot of new hire trainings which are almost worthless. They are meant to expose new hires to more of the larger HCL business as a whole, but it seems more like the executives patting themselves on the back than actually providing useful information to the new hires. Finally, I was hired during COVID so this is likely to change soon now that everyone is moving back into the office, but there isn't much of a friendly culture or any get-together's outside of work.

Pros

nothing, some nice people and salary

Cons

1. HR: company is completely has no HR department, even the technical department. They keep giving orders about tasks and work they have no clue about. 2. Workload: Not divided properly or even based on the skill sets of the engineers. Completely ignorance about what their calibers can do. 3. Upper Management: I am pretty sure none of them went to school not even college. They have no clue about anything and all they care for is how to annoy the employees. If they ever have the chance to make us work for free they will (which they did in this crisis with some people). 4. Crisis Management: No crisis management, just like the previous point. I’m sure None of them went to college or understands how to handle a crisis. They don’t mind risking the employees life for cash. They deliberately ignore the employees raised flags about danger and their need for a response from them. And their lesson learned from any crisis is yes we will have you risk your life and if you fear for your life and ask for another solution, their indirect answer is that you will be fired. 5. Quality “Department”: This is just a joke, a couple of people sitting behind their desks doing absolutely nothing and cashing in their paychecks at the end of every month 6. CEO: A complete idiot, any female can control him easily. Has no idea how to run a company like this. Lost a lot of amazing and great calibers with his childish acts. 7. Raises and Promotions: none of that happens, they are based on the appraisal that they don’t do and even if they did, it’s not taken into consideration 8. Appraisals: A complete joke and waste of time.
