Low Wages, Long Hours

Pros

-free food ( one meal up to $20- but when the price goes up on the menu board, you still only have $20 available) -shopper bonuses (if you have enough crew members on shift to clinch one) -tips generally paid for my gas to get there

Cons

-Management was inconsistent, refused to listen, and showed blatant favoritism towards coworkers who were consistently lazy. -Long hours, low wages -No real room for growth -Male dominated company- if you're female, you will get passed over for promotions in favor of male staff that have less qualifications than you. -Management and staff both would oftentimes show up for work drunk, high, or both. They would often go out back to smoke (nicotine and otherwise) and leave just one person on the line while not coming back in to check on you. -If you're a hard worker, you will be taken advantage of with no real reward for your time and effort. -I asked for a raise several times while there and was brushed off every time. Meanwhile, several male co-workers were hired at a $1+/hr more than me while they did less around the store. -Often short-staffed, meaning those secret shopper bonuses don't pad your paycheck nearly as much as they claim they will. -Management doesn't want crew members to pre-close, but they expect you to have the store properly cleaned, sanitized, and closed down in an hour, oftentimes with half a crew. -The customer is always right, even when they're blatantly rude or abusive towards Crew Members. -Oftentimes unable to take a fifteen minute break because of understaffing or management and other crew members hanging around out back. -The less you worked, the more you seemed to be rewarded. Those of us who worked hard and took pride in our work were taken advantage of and given no reward for our labors. -Relatively thankless job, honestly. There was absolutely no recognition for doing well at your position and management seemed like they really didn't care about their employees health or well-being at all.
