Pros

Working at Five Guys has been fun, and a great experience. Every team member has a great attitude, and you really pull each other along during the good and bad. If you need help with anything, you can just ask. Every team member is knowledgeable of every station, but typically excels in one or two. The Secret Shopper bonuses can be a pretty penny, and although stressful, Sterotech visits ensure the customers that the business is running a extremely clean and healthy establishment.

Cons

Not many negatives; different people could see these as positive aspects. Depending on your area's lunch and dinner rushes the job could be very hectic and sometimes stressful. There is always something to clean during down time... that being said if the shift lead/general manager decides labor is too high, you'll be sent home (Even if you've been there for an hour). Try to work night shifts if you need the hours, for you could be there until midnight if you have a Phantom Shop/baseball team come in late. During closing it is a rush to clean and get out fast, but if you don't complete your area 100% you'll have to re-do it.

Pros

Positive work environment; friendly management; work not too difficult and rather fun at first; free food on lunch break; secret shopper bonuses; sense of camaraderie and teamwork

Cons

Closing the store can be very taxing; strict deadlines on orders; working fries is incredibly stressful; fair amount of heavy lifting / labor ; hours are unaccommodating to personal needs; minimum wage pay; management very cloying about asking you to come in on days when you are not scheduled

Pros

Most of your coworkers. 30 minute breaks and free meals. Can schedule days off in advance.

Cons

Management will often stress you out and expect alot from you. You're required to do 130% at all times and management will play favorites. Expect ALOT of phone calls from co-workers with a sob story of how they need you to work for them because scheduling is a joke. There's alot of pressure to get good scores on secret shopper evaluations. Be prepared to pick up the slack of incompetent co-workers.
