Pros

Simple concept, fairly predictable manager schedule, fixed operating schedule. Plenty of helpful people from other restaurants willing to chip in when help is needed. Fairly non competitive environment.

Cons

Everyone has "their way" of doing things, and most of those ways are not aligned with corporate expectations so it is tough to get a straight answer on issues. Immaturity fairly common among managers at all levels from shift leaders on up. Vendor turnover - food, maintenance, etc. Lack of dedication and commitment to the job by young hourly people results in low morale and commitment from the true team players. Raises and promotions do not follow any sort of schedule. Goals are essentially a secret or moving target to the store management. Minimal sense of connection to the corporate office - the Patty Press reads like a robot wrote it, or each department submitted their portion without checking on what the others were going to say. Benefit premiums higher than any other company I have worked for.

Pros

Learning the basics how to preparing food, how to cleaning and cooking Meeting new people

Cons

Very bad management and managers. If you are working in Five Guys for 2 months You can be a supervisor - manager....without experience, without knowledge. I have very bad experience with work in Five guys. The only thing which was there good was our team - team of crew members...but I dont mean management - maybe 2 managers from 6 were good and professional... I didnt like the way how managers speak with crew members and how respect those people. If you want to work in Five Guys You have to live for Five Guys, because You will not have spare time. This job is only about hardworking and in free time about sleeping.

Pros

Awful compassion towards the mentally ill so no not a pro. I had no food at home so at least I got free burgers. Cause your employees can't even afford it

Cons

You have sons and daughters. You are human beings. I am someone's daughter. Sick, poor, and frail. And I was pushed out of your company for my "bad attitude." Im sure if your secret shoppers knew that I witnessed the death of my father at 19, they'd cut me some slack. I'm only 21 and have been working non stop ever since to provide and be strong for my family. Terrible work support.
