Pros

For the first 12 years of my employment I thought I would retire from Expleo (formally Assystem) and had the passion to build our division and offer my teams and those associated, a career path to grow and succeed. I had support from senior leadership and the drive to keep growing the business.

Cons

Where do I start, starting well before Covid, the Senior Leadership of the UK business deteriorated so dramatically, most people lost their desire and passion for the company. Customers and Staff didn't matter anymore, it was just bottom line profit so bonuses could be paid at the top. Zero support for staff, over worked support functions all in the name of bottom line profit to enable a company sale.

Pros

- Provides opportunities to work at a range of different companies in a number of different sectors. - Has good networking potential to meet people, which can help with future job opportunities.

Cons

Some things to know before accepting a job at Expleo: - The company often employs people speculatively for work that might not necessarily exist, or for projects that haven't been fully confirmed. - If you are not assigned to project, you are obliged to attend a weekly 'bench' meeting where you have to justify how you have spent your time. - Whilst on the bench, you are asked to do all sorts of odd jobs, such as writing bid proposals and opportunities; often for areas outside your skillset. - Any remaining time can be spent watching unlimited training videos via Udemy. - The company will try to find you work, but again this won't necessarily match what you were employed for. - Potential projects are also likely to involve being based away from home at a client's site during the week for extended peiods of time, regardless of what you were told during the interview. - If no work has been found for you after three months then your probation period will be extended for a further three months, regardless of your performance. - Employees are considered expendable: they are regularly dismissed if they are not generating income for an extended period of time.

Pros

• some remote work capabilities (sometimes 2 days per week) based on a random cadence that the HR Manager feels; however, this is not consistent. • Diverse team, but not an “inclusive” environment.

Cons

• extreme micromanagement from the Canada and Wichita leadership team. You literally have 4 touch point meetings PER DAY, in which you report your current numbers achieved and status updates on your plan given. • this isn’t a true TAS role, but more of a glorified call center specialist- you don’t get to source or recruit candidates as the Canada operations team gives a “plan” each day of the exact profiles you will contact for each requisition. • you don’t do job fairs or meet candidates in person or virtually. It’s all via phone, text and email. • they tell you exactly what to say to each candidate which isn’t true Recruitment. • there is no autonomy whatsoever in this role. • the HR team has no clue how to run third party operations. There are no workman’s comp nurses, doctors or partners set up for any client location in the US, they request I9 documentation from candidates prior to an offer being extended, they often misclassify employees as “temporary” just to avoid them receiving benefits as it’s a higher cost for the company- a complete circus when it comes to ethical practices. • The role isn’t clear on direct reporting; therefore, the position is torn between operations and HR who rarely communicate on specifics. • lots of fear based managing • the leadership team uses “we’re a startup” as an excuse to break laws and operate in an unethical way. They also don’t offer training for new hires so they don’t learn the legal way to recruit. Run from any Talent Acquisition Specialist opportunity through the US Wichita operations. These Glassdoor reviews are primarily other countries outside of the US.
