      Great resume builder, but long hours lead to burnout

      Pros

      - Promote from within culture - Can definetly use as a resume builder. You get a lot of customer service, sales, and B2B experience. Great for STAR questions on interviews - The people you work with are fantastic!!

      Cons

      - Cannot make commission until an assistant manager. - Customers are rude and upper management does not seem to care when you have no cars and a lobby full of customers. - Long hours (11-12 hour days, 50-60 hour weeks) which ends up burning you out and is why most people quit after 1-2 years. - Low retention

      opportunities for advancement, fun culture if you’re with the right people or if you’re a favorite, potential to make a lot of money but not guaranteed

      Cons

      pay is very inconsistent. they give you a target pay, but that’s based off of last years branch performance as well as any profits made off of sold vehicles. ex: my target pay was 85k, but i only brought home 70k and thats after being more profitable this year than the year before. even with every metric being higher than the previous year, i still came in 15k under my target, and there was nothing i could do about it. long hours, expected to work well past your scheduled hours. if the branch doesn’t perform, you don’t get paid.
