Pros

- great people, innovative, tech savvy - great work culture - casual yet professional attitude - they've been able to stay afloat without finding a lot of work - great market reputation and delivery feedback - strong belief and implementation of Agile practices - seemingly flat org structure ** **- with very ugly underbelly

Cons

- most people have monstrous egos. this is understandable because of the good level of expertise, but sometimes veteran tw-ers can be very condescending and rude. - if you werent born at thoughtworks ;) or if you arent a tw-veteran, they wont listen to you during design discussions etc, and you're just supposed to magically learn the culture. - while skills matter, tw sales cant find enough projects to keep people busy - management thinks they're playing it cool, and try to portray a very balanced company vs individual picture, but are double faced in reality - they seem to be interested in hiring a lot of laterals, but they want laterals not for their expertise and insights, but for doing all the boring work that most 'old' tw-ers wont do. - ardent followers of "encourage those who dont align with our culture to leave, nurture the others" which means they've got radical attrition rates. and if you want to leave and they think you're not aligned (which is mostly the case), they wont care - very confusing delivery model, which means they are'nt very profitable as a company, and may never be. Also implies that compensation review wont be any good.

Pros

I've had a great experience building my career at Thoughtworks. One of the things that stands out most is the culture. It's collaborative, supportive, and filled with people who genuinely want to help each other succeed. Thoughtworks has also provided me with meaningful opportunities for career growth. I've been encouraged to take on new challenges, develop new skills, and explore different career paths. Leaders have been approachable and supportive, and I've always felt empowered to own my development rather than being confined to a single role. Like any organization, we’ve had our ups and downs. But the people and the commitment to continuous learning have remained consistent strengths. If you're looking for a place where you can grow professionally, work with smart and passionate people, and be part of a culture that values collaboration and innovation, Thoughtworks is a great place to build your career.

Cons

None that I can think of right now.
