Pros

Good wage for a retail position. Chances for promotion.

Cons

- Wages do not reflect the work required - Far too much feedback, also sometimes in quite humiliating and badgering. All stores differ but my store had strict feedback tracking and you could potentially get fired for something as small as not facing the door 24/7. - Do not support unions. We were told not to join a union because it would anger the company and not help us get better wages. - Very little chance of hitting targets, they ensure they are too high to hit. - Harsh monitoring. We had a lot of mystery shops at my store, and despite being severely understaffed, some staff were humiliated and told off for not being perfect. Their standard of perfect is extremely high and unattainable when very understaffed. - Hard to get promoted, there was a lot of favourtism. During my 2 years there I saw people perfect for the jobs they were applying for being passed over for the managers best friends or crushes.

Pros

Excellent inclusive company culture, employee discount, learning about natural ingredients for skincare, genuinely great and engaged team members, flexible work schedule for part time or casual positions.

Cons

High amount of work, unreasonable "evidence driven" feedback and coaching models, and unrealistic performance metrics for comically low pay, especially for floor coordinators. No additional pay given for specialty roles, which is many enhanced responsibilities over a specific area of the business, and little opportunity for career growth beyond the sales floor unless you are hired from an external management position. Floor Coordinator seems to be the highest rung most people can hit before being driven elsewhere.
