Pros

Long term stability, good co-workers,

Cons

Heavy Bureacracy, promotions are demographically based - not merit based, scads of do-nothing people, no pipeline of key talent, pressure packed to get things done immediately, outsourcing crazy to the point that it's worthless, poor short sighted leadership - they've got their money & options and they're not going to rock the boat, below average pay for the worker bees. Short term focus inflicts permanent damage - case in point: Appliances.

Pros

My first job after college and my internship was a great experience. I learned a lot about medical devices and the medical device industry, and I even got promoted to site leader pretty quickly.

Cons

My training was nonexistent; I learned everything from medical device service manuals. In my region, a billion-dollar company offered no bonuses or decent pay, and the management was micromanaging and horrible.
