Pros

There is an awesome chance to work within some of the greatest tech companies in the world.

Cons

- Working at those tech companies, you are a second class citizen. - Your managers simply check boxes and do not care about your well being or career growth. - Many of the internal programs are poor copy and paste initiatives from Big G. - Your performance as an engineer doesn't matter, as long as the client is happy, to be promoted, you have to do side projects that help the internal infrastructure of EPAM. Here is an example: You design, build out and maintain a whole new product for a client. Cool. No promotion. You were supposed to do that, plus interview, plus volunteer your off-time to building the internal EPAM video chat and also mentor offshore engineers on the client's internal processes. - Your perks depend on the client. This was a great loophole for EPAM. If the client offers a free gym or food, they can say that this particular project offers those benefits. WORST PART: They hold your green card hostage, and will make any possible excuse to delay the process. They send you over to here (the US), and dangle this in front of you. This is a legal and modern form of indentured servants.

Pros

You get exposure to the very latest technology, and the company is implementing it in impactful, real-world ways. Even if you're not in a tech role, you naturally build deeper understanding in the latest technologies that you may never get exposure to at other companies. Truly global. Even for employees not in global roles, you still get good visibility into the company's global scale and impact.

Cons

Too much process around approvals which reduces speed of execution. Asked to step-up but then insufficient support provided. Two-faced behaviors of managers has become acceptable.
