Position Eliminated - Discover has given instructions to existing employees to not provide any LinkedIn recommendations - Anonymous employee Discover Employee Review

Position eliminated this past 3 months and wondered why my texts to people in my team and referral requests (on LinkedIn) were met with silence. Appears Discover HR is advising existing employees to not respond to either for fear of employment disciplining. Not sure why they would do this or how it is legal.
