Pros

Good Culture: My coworkers and the wider team seemed to understand the train wreck Designit has been heading towards, especially with leadership without requisite qualifications. During my time here, my coworkers had also been job hunting and covered for each other while at interviews. I also received some very helpful pointers for tweaking my resume, profile and interview skills.

Cons

Lack of Training: From the beginning, it was clear that the company did not prioritize proper training. While I was confident in my ability to completely my tasks, as l've been doing the same work, I was given minimal instruction on my responsibilities and had to figure out most of my tasks on my own. This lack of training not only made my job harder but also led to errors that could have been avoided with adequate guidance. Ineffective Management: The executive management team was largely ineffective. Chri***ne Bo***on doesn’t seem to be able to handle the pressure and resorts to yelling at employees on larger team calls. There was little to no support from supervisors, who seemed more interested in micromanaging than providing constructive feedback. This led to a toxic work environment where I felt undervalued and unsupported. Extremely cliquey. Lack of Communication: Communication within the company was poor. Important information was often not communicated in a timely manner, leading to confusion and missed deadlines. My manager would email me, and when I emailed responses back, I was told "I don't spend all day in my inbox.". Even during my interview process I was told that my manager was a direct and effective communicator, which is interesting because nothing meaningful was communicated about my performance and growth opportunities. Lack of Goal Mapping: There was a complete absence of goal mapping and strategic planning with my role. I was not given clear target to aim for, making it difficult to measure progress or success. This lack of direction made it hard to stay motivated and understand how my work contributed to the company's overall goals.

Pros

I've had the pleasure of working at Designit for 3 years, and it has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. The company truly values creativity, collaboration, and personal growth. The leadership team is supportive, and they actively encourage open communication and fresh ideas. The work environment is inclusive, with a real focus on work-life balance. If you're looking for a company that invests in its people, promotes creativity, and gives you the freedom to grow, I highly recommend Designit!

Pros

The work is remote -- that's a plus. And while this company doesn't pay all its bills, so far my paycheck has always arrived on time (knock on wood). That's a ridiculously low bar to set, but after a few years at Designit (if you last that long) you'll be impressed that they clear it.

Cons

Where do I even start? This agency is in complete free fall. The larger company that bought us out (Wipro) has lost us one marquee client, caused a rift with others, and gutted our staff. The Wipro team is incompetent, reckless, rude, and fundamentally incapable of right-sizing any business, including & especially their own. I doubt Designit will ever hire anyone again -- those of us still here don't imagine this place will still exist in a year -- but if you're in the market, look elsewhere. There's no institutional support, no growth potential, or really any future for Designit at all. Everyone I know here is covertly and actively seeking other opportunities.
