Pros

- Nice office / rooftop - Culture - Benefits - Travelling opportunities (depending on position) - Home office opportunity

Cons

- Promotions (no possibility) - Management (if you are in a team where huge managerial mistakes are present which hurt employees at work and outside of work, there is nothing that can be done as the managers are protected. HR proposes manager survey where you can give your opinion about your manager, so he can improve, however, even if during the years the score of manager survey is very bad, HR does NOTHING. Even if all the team goes to People Partner to alert unbearable situation of the team and asks help, HR does nothing. Even if 3 employees from the team of 4 people, are in a sick leave (burn out), HR does NOTHING. The only thing People Partner can say, if you don't like, you are free to leave, your manager will not change. This is how Criteo respects employees rights and helps to solve problems. If you are a manager, you do what you want, you work very few and you can never be bothered) - Salaries are low (only for several departments they are very high, the difference is a lot) - Toxic environment

Thanks for taking the time to reflect on your experience. First, let us say that we're really sorry to hear that you did not have a positive management work experience and didn't feel supported by your HR team, this doesn't reflect at all what we want to offer to our employees. We have several processes in place to carefully review feedbacks received by managers. We are putting the focus on creating a collaborative team progression by involving, training and providing managers with the right tools to support their team members, as shown with the creation of the Manager Behavior Framework and the reinforcement of the IDP (Individual Development Plan) that we have launched since 2020 and 2021. Although you feel that you have already been offered this solution, we strongly encourage you to reach out to your local People Partner to discuss this situation.

Pros

Earlier in my time at Criteo, the culture was a true strength. Teams were collaborative, capable, and invested in delivering value to clients. There are still incredibly smart, hardworking people across the organization when they are given the resources needed to deliver strong work.

Cons

Morale has declined significantly due to direction from upper leadership. Executive communications often feel scripted and disconnected from the realities teams are navigating. Employees are facing burnout, layoffs, no merit compensation growth, and increasing workloads without clear strategic guidance. Leadership layers have expanded in ways that create bottlenecks and slow decision making, while individual contributors lack clarity on priorities and long term direction. Internal mobility has been restricted, limiting opportunities for promotion or role movement at the same time compensation progression has been removed. Salary transparency was removed from internal and external role descriptions, which has impacted trust. Despite positive performance, cost discipline appears to disproportionately affect employees rather than being shared equitably across leadership levels. Additionally, a return to office policy has been implemented, including for employees originally hired as remote. This has added strain and uncertainty for teams.
