Pros

Good place to grow and learn.

Cons

It is black or white, which can brutal. Saw many great people that were loyal, loved their job and high performers get fired for faulting a policy. Zero tolerance, zero opportunity to learn. Examples that will make you wonder where is the "human" in their Human Respurces. Little work life balance and a huge double standard with regards to this topic.

Pros

Great pension for us formers old guys.

Cons

Management changes yearly and if they don't rotate out you are stuck with the bad apple. Over the last several years Eaton no longer listens to employees but to shareholders only. I was so glad I could hang on to retire and if I had to start over I would consider other options before Eaton.

Pros

None worth sharing they have ruined a good company with promoting horrible managers. If you want to judge their culture look at who they promote and who they let leave.

Cons

Eaton puts big posters on the wall telling you about their values, top leadership does the exact opposite. Leadership spends more time reviewing everything you do and micro managing your life they miss critical strategic opportunities to build the business. They are so focused on ROS they almost cheer when people choose to leave and if enough people don't leave they "restructure" the business getting rid of key personnel while keeping the management that's running the company into the ground. They have lost most of their plant managers in the Crouse Hinds division and don't have any quality engineers in the plant. Before I left they lost their lead quality manager. Despite not having anyone to run the equipment or a plan to get more people they spend money on equipment they have no plans to train anyone to run or hire a competent person to use. Manufacturing support is non existent they rely on making enough profit on one item they can send two for free to the customer and still make a profit.
