Pros

Good working experience. Ample of opportunities to develop your skills. Every employee is important to the organization. Lots of emphasis on the development of individuals. Very strong on ethics. Open door policy...so lots of opportunity to interact with the leaders at Eaton India.

Cons

Lack of hands on experience since it is an engineering design center and most of the manufacturing plants are outside India. Some of the projects go on for long (a couple of years), so it might get a little boring and you might not see immediate impact.

Pros

The Cooper name carries great strength on your resume but it will come with a price.

Cons

The management team has a lot of politics and the VP of Marketing and Sales,Rick Pabst, is not qualified for the role he is in and is personally responsible along with the president of the company, Laura Ulz, for losing over half of the companies sales in the retail and distribution channels in 2012. The company was just acquired by Eaton and most likely this division will be sold off or merged in with another divisions. The lower level management team for the most part are good to work for but they have no authority to make any discisons making it tough to have an impact on the business. Out of the other Fortune 100 companies I have worked for the company unfortunately ranks last.

Pros

Plenty opportunities if you are willing to relocate Average compensation with good benefits Management listens to and acts on employee survey/feedback

Cons

People usually left in seeking of higher pay Less likely to pay your MBA tuition because Eaton offers plenty training program. So may not be a place for young and ambitious people who seeks for MBA sponsorship.
