Pros

I have been employed with Ecova for almost nine years. The company has tremendous vision and does great work for it's clients and the client list is very impressive. Many big name companies that most anyone would recognize and are familiar with are long-term Ecova clients. International coffee chain, big box retailers, national pharmacies and major convenience stores and hotel chains, restaurants, banks, transportation companies and more...The company has good leadership and is dedicated to employee growth and opportunity for advancement as well as very supportive of the local communities and employees in need.

Cons

A lot of organizational change happens here. We are constantly changing management / leadership roles, departments merge and then separate again, direction of the company has been fairly steady and has improved in recent years.

Pros

Since I work from home, I have a lot of autonomy over my schedule. There is a very positive culture of being as helpful as possible. Upper management reaches out via email and skype meetings to keep in touch with all of the remote employees like myself. I received a very nice bonus this year in addition to a $100 Visa giftcard for Christmas. They provide good benefits including: health insurance, life insurance, 401(k) with matching up to 5% of salary, plenty of PTO/sick days, health advocate, and more. They were recently bought out by Engie, but even within this new company, Ecova is still growing rapidly.

Cons

I have to work in isolation a lot. which can get depressing. Their educational reimbursement program is useless; it doesn't provide nearly enough and you have to apply to be eligible, which isn't bad, except you don't find out if you are eligible or not until an entire month into your semester after you've already paid tuition. Most advancement opportunities require relocation.

Pros

Nice place to work in. Great people who can help you or discuss about their jobs with passion.

Cons

Actually any except they are not able to give you a full time position after the internship.
