      Pros

      You will progress each year at Deloitte, the growth is endless and addicting because as long as you stay you know exactly when and to what position you will be promoted. In private industry depending on the company it can become stagnant. Additionally you will learn a lot about companies, by auditing all their financials. Great foundation to start with.

      Cons

      You will have no life, don't know if you realistically can work here longer than 4 years if you want to have a family or a relationship that doesn't end in a break up or divorce. You can leave basically whenever you want for a minimum 20% salary increase going into private because you are so underpaid

      -Good perks, including flexible Fridays -Good amount of vacation time if you're able to use it -You can learn a lot about different industries and business processes in general if you are able to get good project opportunities

      Cons

      -Many projects were just repackaging old material with the new client's logo -Consistent lack of leadership at the Senior Manager level -limited opportunities to specialize in a field -Many projects last years and it can be difficult to get off them, limiting opportunities and sometimes placing junior staff into the middle of political tug-of-war between partners and project managers -Partners have a tendency to treat staff like commodities rather than people -Deloitte doesn't have a strong reputation in the Strategy Consulting world, making it difficult to secure post-Deloitte opportunities in that area
