Pros

I worked at DLL in a number of jobs in a number of countries. The biggest pro was that it had offices in 35 countries, so there was the opportunity to work internationally. They also fostered a jovial work environment which made it a fun place to work. I love my colleagues in the US and Netherlands offices. Overall, it was mostly great. I preferred the culture in the US HQ in Wayne, PA over the Toronto office, which was very hierarchal.

Cons

Often paid less than bigger name competitors in the US.

Pros

I think Senior Management has the right Global strategy. Canadian market strategy needs work. Company used to be good until internal middle management changes in Oakville (head office) 2019. I believe the compensation and benefits program to be excellent.

Cons

At the end of the day it is really not about senior management but the person you report to (middle management) I was fairly compensated, but was never able to take a vacation without getting phone calls from my boss. If you asked for vacation you were made to feel guilty. Even after winning a customer service award. Definitely did not get support from him when my wife and I had our first child. The expectation is that you worked for him and that you needed to be available beck and call Evenings and weekends. He did not value family or work life balance. I would also agree with previous posts, that indicates office politics. Head Office does not support remote Business Development Managers. Average lifespan of a BDM is 3 years in this company.
