Pay, benefits, casual dress, work life balance, co-workers, and the departments function such as pot luck, Halloween & charity work contest etc.

Lack of communication from management, favoritism, no opportunity for growth unless you really know someone, no real opportunity for growth for black people, there is not one black person in upper management, µmanagement

Pros

With this internship, I got to participate in a wide range of activities, which created a very well-rounded experience. My mentors were very knowledgeable, always had helpful advice and constructive criticism, and were always willing to answer questions. My coworkers were all very nice and welcoming, and always treated me like one of their own. I got to work closely with one other intern in my department, but there were many other interns in various other departments as well. Overall, it was a great experience!

Pros

Paid internship in an open, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Flexible with hours/ days off. I worked closely with one other intern, although there were over 20 in the office. Everyone was very nice and always willing to set aside time to discuss their role in DLL and how they got there. I even got to meet one-on-one with several higher up people from the Netherlands headquarters and from the UK. My supervisors were great – they put a heavy focus on what I wanted to learn/ get out of the experience instead of just dumping work onto my desk. I was included in many live projects and my opinions and suggestions were always welcomed and taken into serious consideration.

Cons

No real cons as an intern.
