      Pros

      This is an organization that rewards the aggressive and the go-getter. Accommodates the employee geographical locational needs / preferences to a very great extent. If you ever look to go back to India and currently in the US, this is the company to be with.

      Cons

      On consultancy front Cognizant is growing into that space very recently, and is focused on consulting assignments only recently. Even though it tries to go into the turfs of Accenture and IBM, it is still not there. And the software delivery DNA is not easy to tailor to consulting mind-set very easily. Pay may not be the best in class too.

      Flexible work timing Employee Benefits like Medical benefits, medical expenses reimbursement, free vision check up after 6 months, free master health check up after 1 year of joining

      Cons

      Promotion not depends on performance May get promotion only 3 years once VISA processing after 2 years once you join Have to get position and salary once you join after that never expect anything Mostly maintenance kind of projects (Not much exposure for pure developers) Many guys murmur like work is not relevant to their technology

      1) Services like Transport, Travel, Re-imbursment are good. 2) Frequent trainings are conducted for self improvement & personality development. 3) Certifications are emphasized. 4) Job security.

      Cons

      1) Managers can make you or ruin you. 2) Politics have overwhelmed work. 3) Compensation is low upto 1-4 years for campus joinees. 4) More maintainence project & less development projects. 5) Efficient manager who can provide work life balance.
