      Maybe I lucked out ..

      Pros

      They are extremely flexiable. I'm not sure where else I could work from home (another provice) for a few weeks with out having to take vacation. Also it seems that I might have lucked out after getting a significant raise each year to the point where I am making almost twice my starting salary. Perhaps I lucked out with a good Director.

      Cons

      I know I could get paid more elsewhere... But I guess that is the trade off. The skill level of some managers is quiet obvious, you can luck out and get one who is good, and not an ass, or strike out and get one who is bad and an ass.

      Pros

      Great company, still led by the founder, focus on operational fundamentals and client satisfaction. Detailed frameworks are in place to support how we sell, how we deliver, and how we ensure that our clients are satisfied. I enjoy the work that I am doing, and the entrepreneurial atmosphere - I can communicate freely with fellow members across the company in a way that isn't inhibited by a strict "chain of command" philosophy; we are all focused on our goal of doubling the size of the company in the next 3 years, and doing so in a way that focuses on the client, not on us.

      Dispersed work force, lack of an office culture.

      Pros

      I really like the work atmosphere and people I work with at CGI. Although I cannot speak from personal experience, I get the impression that other similar consulting companies (Accenture, Booz Allen, ect.) are more demanding of their employees. At CGI, things seem a little more relaxed. I typically work 40 hours a week, and have all my weekends off (of course there have been a few exceptions to this rule). Also, the people that I work with are great. They are smart and work hard, but are also fun and easy to get along with. I also think the work we do is interesting. I think the benefits are really good overall - however, the 401k match could be improved. Finally, the company seems to be doing fairly well.

      Cons

      The pay might be a little less then some of the more demanding companies I mentioned above; however, I still feel I'm paid a good salary.
