Pros

The management has no clue what you are doing most of the time.

Cons

Everything. Senior management is incompetent on a good day. Simply put, this place is a sweat shop and the employees get no respect or recognition. Long hours are expected, with no recognition or reward. Incompetence breads promotion. The company works on a profit sharing perspective where the profitability of your business unit drives the bonuses (if any) of the unit, as such, business units do not work together, in fact, they compete against each other. This place is as backwards as company can be. Through into that they are a disaster in finance and administration. Expense reports are micro managed and frequently mis-placed and/or lost. Continual errors in payrol processing. They cannot produce reports on profitability of clients. It is a wonder that they can figure out a financial report for the stock holders.

Pros

Steady business as they support the federal government and they always have money. the people are good too. social club is nice. they're generally good with letting you take time off and with the new policy you are forced to take vacation. work is pretty easy to do and they hire most anyone

Cons

the culture is pretty bad, very corporate, no feeling of the company valuing you as an employee. bad benefits package, salary isnt great, reviews are handled poorly, office space is bare bones cubicles, not a lot of respect for the normal employee. no innovation, no creativity whatsoever

Pros

If you are driven and motivated to succeed CGI will provide you with ample opportunities to shine and succeed. CGI does not hire employee it hires members (owners) that get to partake in all the benefits the company has to offer - profit sharing, stock options and a stock purchase plan. CGI's Senior Management are very passionate about the company and they have a clear vision and mission for CGI – it is very inspiring to hear them speak about CGI’s vision and mission. CGI has some great Managers that constantly provide recognition and feedback for a job well done – unfortunately there are those Managers that seem to forget to provide that words of recognition and thanks for a job well done do not cost them or the company anything.

Cons

It's a great company with many talented people yet they are unable to command the high per diem rates that companies such as IBM, EDS and Accenture enjoy.
