      Lack of excitement, innovation and longevity

      Pros

      Boeing has spent decades creating processes and systems on how to do things, so they are organized in that manner. The time off was generous and the 401k was awesome.

      Cons

      Always in a downward, from the day I joined there was a looming threat of layoffs, it was emotionally trying. Never exciting or innovative, leadership was incapable of making decisions that could benefit the company, they just sat on ideas. It didn't matter how hard a person worked, promotions were capped for years. Asking to explore other departments was impossible because everything is in a silo and many groups don't mingle outside of their group.

      Great Company - Hard for Younger Generation to Stay On

      Pros

      Tuition reimbursement is superior! Great on the job training along with great corporate training. Health care and benefits are great

      Cons

      Hard t oget promotions, closed mouths dont get fed. Organizational behavior varies per site drastically. Hard to get promotions. Promotions are still good ol boy benefits only. If you aren't a family member or long time friend in the factory, you have a long wait. Favoritism is still a big problem for non union employees. Losing a lot of younger generations due to these issues. People hold on to tribal knowledge till they die or retire.

      Pros

      Basic Benefits are hard to beat. The token cost of living adjustments have not kept pace with inflation for the past 10 years.

      Cons

      Management stifles creativity and ambition. Lower level managers are not allowed to manage.
