Pros

- Very good medical coverage - Lots of employee discounts for cellphone and etc. - Long Christmas vacation. - Volunteering is encouraged.

Cons

There's a lot of negatives to say about this place... - People are very rude, the common attitude is "I'm more important than you" or "I've worked here longer than you". If you have a big ego, this is the perfect place for you. - There's no such thing as merit, it's all about how long you've worked at Boeing - People are very incompetent, it makes you wonder how they managed to not get weeded out - Very conservative and political atmosphere - Salaried employees STILL have to clock in and be detailed about what they do every hour - There's no such thing as work-life balance. - There's no such thing as quality work, as everything revolves around budget/money and deadlines - Groups are very silo'ed off, it's very hard to communicate and work together with someone outside of your group - Too many road blocks to productivity, a lot of time is wasted due to overhead, like numerous meetings that always go over time, people purposely delay to make themselves feel important. - Nothing is well documented, people are very afraid of getting laid off that they keep the knowledge in the only place that's safe, with them only.

Pros

1. US leadership is good and many time they are mislead buy the managers for Boeing India. but I think they too know some background how they work. 2. Most of the US leads are really supportive and encouraging.

Cons

1. BIE group has really biased leadership, in which they always encourage the people that they are close to them, and there no appreciation for the talented employees. 2. Managers grow much faster than the low level engineers, (5 years experience engineer might get promoted after 4 to 5 years from Level 1 to Level 4, but in the same time Manager will shift minimum 1 to 2 levels,) this says there is no value for the Technical side in Boeing. 3. Employee referral portals wont work in Boeing, they are just name sake. (internally they decide and take them, all fixed recruitment) 4. HR & first level manager always says your salaries are much better compared to market, but its not true in any ways, I don't know which market they are refereeing to? for the same position Airbus offers 40 to 50 % more. 5. They don't care about your salary until you putdown your papers, after that they will come to you and say, we can match to your expectations, you are really important to us...bla bla... 6. No value for long term staying employee, If a person joins Boeing 10 years ago, for the same skills and experience, new hire will get at-least 40 to 60% more,. just think about of the value to old employees.

Pros

They hire at true entry-level and will take chances on individuals right out of university. Ability to flex hours.

Cons

Boeing is desperately trying to pretend that they are the amazing aerospace company they used to be. But this snotty pretense lands hollow and employees get disillusioned quickly. Lack of innovation, they have a fear of modernizing and of change. They became angry and vindictive when anyone tries to use newer technology. It is like working in a factory, even as an engineer. You feel like you aren’t there to think, but to be a mindless. They care only about shareholders, not their products. Meaning everything is done cheaply, carelessly and without passion. Compensation is not keeping up with market.
