Pros

good solid company, well know name, looks good on CV, can be ruthless when needed good ceo

Cons

Too political - a lot of things done for show - middle management is poor. Communications team is unprofessional and the advertising is embarassing. Not international - everything is paris based and paris-minded. It is like exporting Camembert and and pretending it is a kraft cheese slice - it looks frenc, tastes french and smells french - get over it..

Pros

1. Stable; 2. Opportunistic acquisitions in the history; 3. Better working hours vs. US peers.

Cons

1. No real rain-makers, lending based IBD; 2. Pay significantly under market-level, and is proud of it; 3. Too risk-averse.

Pros

Profitable and growing bank, which has successfully weathered the financial crisis. BNP Paribas has expanded its operations and network during the last years, and is now one of the leading financial institutions in the world

Cons

The Corporate & Investment Banking division has recently employed several managers coming from US investment banks (Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns), bringing a new, very competitive, stressing mentality - that hardly impacted on employees.
