Pros

At the company BNP Paribas, employees can expect fast promotions, great visibility to senior management staff, and equitable compensation based on merit.

Cons

The firm tends to be somewhat slower moving in making decisions than other firms on the street, both on the business side and on the HR side.

Pros

Good Job security. Good name to have on your CV (carries weight when looking for another job).

Cons

Senior Management in UK are relatively weak. Decision making is slow. This can be a positive, but can also result in heaps of inefficiency and uneccessarily slow, as is the case in BNPP UK. Being a branch, you are still subject to the whims of Paris via Brussels. IT Service desk & facilities are the worst in class. Some systems were still not working when I left. Worst of all, a lot of the front line staff, including senior management simply gave the impression that they did not want to be there (stuck, because they can't find anything elsewhere?).
