Pros

Good place to receive technical training, and work-life balance is pretty good depending on where you are. I have worked at several locations across the country and can tell you to avoid the plants. They can be quite miserable places unless you are in a leadership role. If you are in a non-production support role, then the work-life balance is good.

Cons

Benefits are OK, but the healthcare benefits have gotten really bad over the last couple of years. the prescription drug coverage essentially requires generic drugs be used. If you must have a brand name, you'll pay for it through the nose. Salaries are also pretty low, as management sees it as a "privilege" for you to even work here. Also, there is not a lot of calibration between areas for high/low performers. For example, one area or department's worst engineer may be equal to the best in another department (or vice versa). HR will require the former to be disciplined and the latter to receive a pay raise. This drives many engineers and techs to flee growing and dynamic work areas to go to stable, easy departments. Professionals at the company take either a technical path that is a dead end, or a management path that pays well, but is pretty exclusive. There is little reason to stay at this company once you make it to a Sr. or Sr. Staff engineering level. There is a ceiling at that point for technical staff because management won't promote beyond that because the pay approaches theirs.

Pros

Decent benefits, time off, flexibility of hybrid work option

Cons

Leadership is lacking & out of touch with the majority of the employees doing the work. THEY DID A MASS LAYOFF VIA A VIDEO MEETING ACROSS MULTIPLES SITES WITH DOZENS OF PEOPLE IN ATTENDENCE. Completely unprofessional and degrading. They make decisions which don't impact them but the employees at least 3 levels below them. You cannot go to HR for any type of help or issue or your basically targeted. EPA program is useless and the EPA partner was no help either.

Pros

1)Depends on luck but the people i met here are in majority friendly. Some of them who i still remain contact after leaving the company definitely good people. 2)Grateful for the food items received during holidays. 3)Grateful to have met management and co workers alike who are caring and some of the most hardworking people. 4)Some recognitions will be given if effort is appreciated by management in terms of award.

Cons

1) Burnout, gave 110% through out my employment here, involved in not just operations but projects, minor projects and recreationally activities however majority of the credit was covered with little to no recognition, feels like everyone just view them as extra work. If you are capable then it fall upon you to do them but credit really depends if your manager appreciates it or has the budget for the award. 2) work distribution is uneven, being more capable you will be task to not only your scope but to take in coworker`s work who are not up for the task. 3) As turnover rate is frequent here, some task are not properly documented hence handover requires the previous employee to train you within the notice period and you will have to pick up fast within that period if not the knowledge is lost in transition. No ownership of task is also an issue to the temporary helping employee as once you agree on helping it is pretty hard for you to return the task. 4) while some encountering limited promotions no matter how hard you perform as the ground worker, others might get the chance to be recognised or promoted without much achievements. Effort and achievements doesn’t work well with the favouritism at play here. 5) Stringent mindset when it comes to changes proposed especially for older employees sometimes even needing you to do more than persuade and explain multiple times and still reluctant to listen as to them its just extra work for them.
