Pros

I had tremendous learning at Amazon. The pace of work is intense, but there is lot of opportunity to pick up new skills in not just technology but also management techniques and principles that are so unique to Amazon. In addition to hard skills, I am sure that my time here will make me a better manager and a leader. The organization provides you great opportunity to completely own and execute on a complex area.

Cons

One has to be self-driven as there is little hand holding.

Pros

Lots of opportunity to learn new technologies and to innovate. Everyone is willing to help. Mechanisms to help drive business goals. Super motivated people.

Cons

Scale. Problems are unique due to the size of the company. You need to deal with a lot of ambiguity (not really cons but difficult for some people).
