Pros

Good exposure to processes and methodology. If you haven't worked for a large IT Services organization, then you will get good learning here. Good opportunities for working with global teams and clients. The clients are mostly the top ranked companies in the world. If you are good at your work and have great communication skills, there is good opportunity to travel for projects.

Cons

Atleast in india delivery centers, too much politics - especially for promotions & travel opportunities. Very project-focused culture. Once you've changed projects or DU then networking with colleagues & seniors becomes rare, If you're a good performer at TL-AM level then the DU leads sometimes try to keep you at that level so as to not lose you via promotion to other DU's. If you're in a long-term project then work becomes monotonous after a while and asking for project roll-off is discouraged. New joiners given much higher pay at same level as old employees.

Pros

The sky is the limit on what you can learn in any technical subject, easily expanding on role development. Leadership is easy to speak to and open to discussions on career progression, industry changes, and knowledge shares. The books of work are diverse and so there are lots of opportunities to try out lots of personal interests. Their community presence is strong and they care a lot about their employee's health and happiness working hard to provide positive work live balance and opportunity for family support and care, as well as consideration for DEI opportunities. Finally, it's a huge company but feels like a small business.

Cons

It can be hard to change or connect to new industries if aligned to a specific org structure like Accenture Operations vs Accenture SONG, You are responsible for making your own success. While you will be assigned a People Lead and HR representative you are responsible to be sure you complete your trainings, advance your own skills and specializations, and keep your profile up to date if you want to be considered for future opportunities. When it comes to finding a new role, you may be on your own searching in the Accenture LinkedIn like eco system to find your next role. That can feel daunting for those that may not be comfortable with that process of networking and hunting and who may not have tracked their experiences and skills in the systems provided.
