Pros

The best reason to work for this company is pay... It isn't anything else really. Everything that use to make this employeer the best in its class has been cut back on. That includes, bonuses, stock options, medical and every other beni has been cut. The best reason to work for this company is tainted with all the other reasons not to work here. Yes, we don't mind working hard but over the last few years they have asked for more and cut more from the people who actually make a difference within the rankings.

Cons

Massive company where everyone is your boss. They don't cater to their employees they cater to the upper management staff. 95% of upper management looks down the rankings as throw away commodities that can be replaced by someone who cost less and works longer hours. This way upper management can pocket more money while the take away more and more and expect more and more. The company has lost it's big blue attitude and has taken on a dog eat dog attitude. Compitetion is good but you better come prepared with a full fledge body of armor if you work here.

Pros

It is a good place to start your career, but you should stay there over a few years due to the lack of career growth opportunities.

Cons

The location I am familiar with runs on the "good ole boy system". The good ole boys take care of eachother. Management even treats teams with in the center with favortism. The environment is extremely stressful. Center Management is not impressive. With the number of complaints that customers have about AT&Ts managed services, it is a wonder they are still in business. I would be hard pressed to come up with a handful of customer that say they have good expereinces with working with the Center.

Pros

AT&T has the benefit of being the largest telecommunications company in the country. With that job security is great as well as the fact that I have virtually no stress after leaving my job. Even as a salaried manager, I get paid overtime should I stay later than 8 hours which must be approved by my director prior to working late. Benefits are decent.

Cons

There is little to no recognition by senior management of the good work that's being done. I am a project contributor to at&t's u-verse advanced tv project and constantly hear the bad news of being over budget and behind schedule. Raises are limited to (1-3%) per year which is doesn't even meet inflation. Ridiculous. As well the old fashioned mentality possessed by the ancient folks around here inhibits growth and change.
