Pros

Pro- none, really. Maybe the food chain downstairs

Cons

Many. Micromanagement. Lack of employee friendly policies. The position has nothing to do with Training. It's a mediator/coordination role.

Pros

The company cares about its employees. The benefits are awesome. The 401k is amazing.

Cons

Compensation is a little lower than it should be. They will use you if you let them. But that’s any company. Apathy is abundant and as good as they are to the good employees I’ve seen a lot of really bad ones be kept around for way too long as well. Or even worse. Shuffled to be someone else’s problem.
