Pros

Neptune NJ location: pleasant area. Underwriters here are knowledeable and share their knowledge freely, as do a number of other staff.

Cons

Merged this year with Medical Excess, and now we are in zonal silos, with very little communication between zones. Two out of the three zonal VPs know very little of Group underwriting, so they have unrealistic expectations. Crushing workload and no understanding from management. No raises. Company tries to limit bonuses. Too many scattered, faulty administration systems, too much manual/clerical work to underwrite cases.
