Pros

Book of business, marketing resources.

Cons

Deceiving management (over promise and under delivers), book of business is used as a plus which it is, however it's basically only leads since you are discouraged to add to that book of business - external rollovers is what will generate an income. Training is HORRIBLE, everything is learned through a negative experience at the expense of the client. You inherit a book of business, however since this company has such a high FA turnover you end up inheriting a book of problems - very difficult to do business with unhappy people. You are not compensated on retention or servicing, so you are on your own to generate rollovers. The company's vision is very flawed - they should have a base salary to justify driving around, putting out fires, paying for minimal expenses like printing/faxing, and spending time taking care of existing clients and provide a tangible service.
