They had about ten various tasks, any one or two of which would have been a normal measure used on a single interview - these were all jammed into a two hour period of time. Only one candidate passed the "test" (me). Some included items: Write a macro in Word, assign it to a button, add the button to the ribbon. Create a database from a single statement. Format a table to appear exactly as the model provided, place table in a column layout page that exactly matches the one in the sample. Create rules in Word and Excel. Write step by step instructions for a user to "how to" do about eight items in Word and Excel. Create a formula in Excel per instructions... plus several additional items.
