I had to self identify before I got the interview. After I identified my gender and race, the recruiter scheduled an interview. She asked me to tell her about myself. She asked why I wanted to work for UHG. I asked a couple of questions and she was stand-offish and said she didn’t understand my question. She lowballed the salary for this position. I asked when will they let the candidates know if they progresses to the next step. The recruiter said within 24-48 hours. Ten minutes after my interview, she sent me a denial email. It’s clear that UHG uses the Rooney Rule. They have to interview highly qualified, minority candidates but they have NO intention of offering employment. They just want to check that box.

During my presentation I was asked specific questions that were geared towards current trends and challenged with a question 'what if the client has an extremely high security policy where one could not do XYZ, would I still recommend the current trend?
