The onsite interview is very demanding, it took more than 7 hours in total, you would be constantly answering questions and presenting your ideas. It's not very technical, but focus more on soft skills and the overall qualification.
What's the difference of sensitivity and specificity of an antibody?
- Technical questions related to the company's field (antibody applications/protein research tools). - Behavioral questions like how to handle angry customers and time / project management.
This is an entry level job pretty much so no technical questions.
For science positions, understanding of the biology, pathways, and technology is critical. I was asked about familiarity with specific oncogenic pathways related to the lab's specific focus. Mostly they want to know exactly what your skill sets are and how much of your work you have done independently.
