The interview was scheduled for half an hour, but the interviewer took it for 1 hr 8 min.!!? People are not sitting idle for hour and don't have other priorities? Most of the logical questions were answered by me. The questions were limited to Unix and shell scripting only. Other questions asked were baseless googled questions, infact I asked the interviewer to answer and hilariously even he couldn't. One of the question was, create an empty 2 GB file. I asked him to answer thrice but he couldn't himself, so I asked him to give me a situation where this is used in his work because I haven't seen anyone using this nor anyone has spoken about it. Other question was how many arguments can be passed in a shell script. Again he dodged to give this answer multiple times and the situation where this is used. So, instead of googling questions, please advise him, how to take a technical interview based on the firm's requirements or atleast ask him that he should know the answers to the questions he's asking. Also, keep track of time, no one is free like he is or schedule the interview with 2 or more people in it with proper time mentioned in the invite, so that there is no biasing and wasting of time of the candidates respectively. His knowledge and skills are limited to Google and doesn't even know how to take an interview. Please ask him to learn that and how to speak proper English as well. FYI, I was interviewed prior to this for Vodafone by 4-5 interviewer at once and I was selected for a VP position. Even in my current firm I was selected purely on my Shell scripting and Unix skills which I have left a mark on, I still have an offer from my company and they are willing to hire me and the joining date is 1st of Jan. Even I have taken multiple interviews but unfortunately the interviewer from your company was hilariously unskilled and unprofessional. Ask the higher authorities to take his interviews again, surely he will fail. Thanks for wasting my time and try not to waste others as I am highly disappointed.
