Junior Editor Interview Questions

No questions were asked. I was brought in and immediately taken to a desk to start testing.

We have two projects with the same deadline and everyone is working overtime. One client is easy going and encourages us, the other constantly calls to find out how the project is going and when it will be done. Which project is your top priority.

I liked this one from the hiring manager, although it stumped me to reply on the spot. It was a question about what I would headline a specific article.

No question of any consequence, as interviewer was clear they wanted someone from print media industry

All three interviews were quite straightforward. Review of previous documents written and discussion of my experience and ability to perform the job.

It wasn't unexpected, but I was asked to respond to unique requests and responses from customers, and how I would address their needs. Not knowing their existing customers too well, I had to really put myself in the position of someone who knew Skytap well, and knew the needs of their customers.
