At the end of a log, drawn out discussion about how to handle the situation where someone in my team has made an error that had a significant impact, we arrived at the "Ultimately, I carry the can" there was the "How would you feel if we were either going to fire you or you had to sacrifice the employee that made the error" bit... that is a bit tricky without the full background and actually "being there" so you have to take a gamble.
Am I comfortable with a tough working environment?
Absolutely zero questions from the decision maker. His manager briefly walked in and asked me a few things about my self. But then I had to endure for an hour to sit and listen to the decision maker talk about himself and/or his work. It was only out of respect that I did not walk out.
what can you do for the company? How can you save us money and bring us up to speed with technology.
From your perspective, why was your position eliminated at your last employer?
