I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Uber (San Francisco, CA) in May 2015
Interview
Positive discussion with the recruiter, he told me I need to impelemnt one of the challenges in the github page. I clearly explained that my experience is mostly in Java and I have always developed desktop applications. I spent 60 hours on the assignment as I am not a web developer and they just reviewed it for 5 mins and did not even set up a technical interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Uber (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2015
Interview
Screening process
- Recruiter contacted through LinkedIn
- Had 30 Min. call with HR team
- They scheduled 1 Hr phone screen
- They update immoderately after the phone screen and asked for onsite dates
- Sent them the next day and they scheduled the onsite in a day or two.
- They have Uber riding credits to cover the trip which is neat
Onsite interviews
- Went smoothly, 2 manager, 3 1-1 technical and quick HR wrap up round
- Every interviewer was on time
- 1 Manager interview really sucked, he sat there and did his work while passively asking questions.
