I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Target (Bloomington, IN) in Jan 2020
Interview
It was a pretty straightforward interview. Luckily, many of the online sample questions showed up, so it felt familiar and manageable. That made the whole process more comfortable than I'd expected.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you handle a long line of customers waiting to check out, while maintaining a positive experience for each guest?
This story can answer several questions:
Tell me about a time you worked cross-functionally.
Tell me about a communication challenge.
Tell me about a difficult stakeholder.
Tell me about solving a problem.
Tell me about managing expectations.
The interview was super easy. You just have to know a bit about what you're trying to do there and be lucky with their hiring timing. It also helps if you are nice to them overall.
I applied online. I interviewed at Target (Dallas, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was over the phone. Basically going over the details you inputted on the job application. We went over the hours I could work and if whether or not I had other things going on because it was a part time job.
