The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Target (New York, NY)
Interview
Very shortly (about 2 days) after submitting application online, I received a call from Target to come in for an interview. I arrived, and felt very comfortable with the interview; questions were generic, nothing atypical of the standard interview (i.e. describe a time you had a conflict with a colleague, and how it was resolved). I was then called in for a second interview with another department member, and basically was exactly the same as my first interview. The third interview involved the store manager along with the person from the second interview. General questions were asked (i.e. why Target?). Though I did not get the position, the interview process was pleasant.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
name a time you had a conflict with a co-worker, and how it was resolved.
This story can answer several questions:
Tell me about a time you worked cross-functionally.
Tell me about a communication challenge.
Tell me about a difficult stakeholder.
Tell me about solving a problem.
Tell me about managing expectations.
The interview was super easy. You just have to know a bit about what you're trying to do there and be lucky with their hiring timing. It also helps if you are nice to them overall.
I applied online. I interviewed at Target (Dallas, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was over the phone. Basically going over the details you inputted on the job application. We went over the hours I could work and if whether or not I had other things going on because it was a part time job.
