I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at TP (Bangor, Northern Ireland) in Jan 2013
Interview
really bad and too ruI recently attended an interview as a tutor to help long term unemployed youngsters with interview and job seeking skills (ironic I know). It was a grueling interview where I had to give a 20 minute presentation in front of 12 delegates as well as answer the usual competency based questions. At the end of the interview I asked when they would let me know, to which they replied I would know either way by Thursday (it was a Tuesday). They were at pains to point out that they had empathy for job seekers and would NEVER not inform interviewees one way or another. Well, you guessed it, Thursday came and went and the following Thursday too and NOTHING. So I called… they did not return my call. I emailed and eventually they responded… by thanking me for attending but they had given the job to someone with more relevant experience as an Administrator. I hadn’t applied or been interviewed for an administrator’s job!
Prepare to be there all day, 6 hours+. 1st step was computer literacy testing, about 5 sections, roughly a hour. 2nd step wait for a interviewer to come take you in the office, they talked about 30 or so minutes describing the job and asking minor questions about your experience, then send you back to the waiting area to consider, 30+ minutes . Then if they like you, the bring you onto the call floor where the pair you with an agent to observe their work. Leave you there for a hour. Then come get you and role play with a different interviewer where the observe your speech, swiftness on the keyboard, and ability to keep the customer intrigued. Takes another hour. After that they send you back to waiting area where you sit to see if they are going to offer you a position. The original interviewer comes and take you in the office and as if you would like to become a employee, describe pay, hours and guidelines. Then send yu to the clinic where they drug test you ON THE SPOT. Which takes another 2 hours.
